Air Electronic Reporting

Pilot Project

 

This is a Central District Pilot Project.  Other DEP Districts may not accept electronic reports.

 

Electronic Reporting is voluntary. 

No facility is required to submit electronic reports or notices.

Electronic Reporting is efficient- sending reports and notices via e-mail saves:

• Paper (each stack test is about 100 pages)

• Time (no printing and mailing, just attach a file to an e-mail)

• Postage (most reports are sent overnight in order to track receipt)

• Storage Space (no need for facilities to save printed copies, electronic copies are legally valid for records retention purposes)

If you are submitting electronically, please bookmark each section of the report.

Facilities submitting electronic only stack test reports (no paper to DEP)

• City of Vero Beach Power Plant

• Florida Power and Light Company, Inc.

• Kissimmee Utility Authority

• Orlando Utilities Commission

• Progress Energy

History

This office began accepting stack test reports from power plants in electronic format May 1, 2001.

 

The project was expanded August 1, 2003 to include all air reports from all air  facilities, including:

• -Stack Test Reports

• -Visible Emission (VE) Reports 

• -Stack and VE (Visible Emission) Test Notices

What does DEP do with the electronic submittals?

• Documents are reviewed in electronic format. 

• After review, they  are filed in an electronic file cabinet. 

• Public Records requirements are met by retention of the electronic documents.
