The role of the Environmental Regulation Commission is
to approve for adoption most standards relating to air pollution,
water quality and waste management. The Commission is comprised
of an unpaid citizenry board whose job it is to weigh and
balance all the complex factors that go into setting standards
that will protect Floridians. Generally, the Commission
meets on the last Thursday of each month in Tallahassee
or another location within the state. The public is encouraged
to attend and participate in the Commission’s work to protect
